Who is TTAS ?

Our Technical Consultant is Steve Hanley, who has been involved in the industry since 1981. Initially Steve was involved with the design and construction of boat trailers. By virtue of these trailers being "on the edge" of the legal limits, Steve developed a detailed knowledge of the relevant legislation in order to "stay legal". He became a member, and subsequently a Council Member, of the Association of Trailer Manufacturers which later re-formed as the National Trailer & Towing Association, who employed Steve as a Technical Consultant for several years, until recently.

The works undertaken by Steve in the past include:

Design, development and construction of trailers/trolleys from 150 kg to 180,000 kg capacity and from 2 metres to 18 metres in length for various clients including the MoD (Navy) and RNLI; To view an illustrative selection of Steve's work, click here
